Terms of Service
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using OrbitHQ, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you may not use our service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and customers.
2. Use of the Service
OrbitHQ provides a real-time collaborative document editing platform. You may use the service for any lawful purpose. You agree not to use OrbitHQ to store, transmit, or share content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights.
3. Accounts and Registration
To access OrbitHQ, you must register for an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or other accounts
- Use the service to distribute spam, malware, or malicious code
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the service
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the service
- Use the service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation
5. Content Ownership
You retain all intellectual property rights to the content you create in OrbitHQ. By using the service, you grant OrbitHQ a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the service. OrbitHQ does not claim ownership of your content.
6. Privacy
Your use of OrbitHQ is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate your access to OrbitHQ at any time. OrbitHQ reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to access the service ceases. You may export your content prior to termination.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OrbitHQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months prior to the claim.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the service or by email. Your continued use of OrbitHQ after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
